Installation Guidance

The XL-SB-ECO is surface-mounted and designed for commercial restroom installation. Excel Dryer's suggested mounting heights, measured from the floor to the bottom of the dryer, are 45" (114 cm) for men's washrooms, 43" (109 cm) for women's washrooms, and 37" (94 cm) for accessible installations. Because the Eco draws 4.3–4.5 amps / 460–530 watts at 110-120V, multiple Eco units can typically share a circuit — confirm with a licensed electrician for your specific installation. Allow appropriate clearance on either side and below the unit so the air stream and sensor work as designed.

For ADA-compliant installations where the dryer must project less than 4 inches from the wall, order the optional ADA-Compliant Recess Kit (#40502) — the standard XL-SB-ECO projects 6-11/16" (170mm) and is not ADA-compliant on its own.
