Hand drying is an important accessibility consideration in commercial restrooms — and the Bobrick B-7128 is a Premier-Partner-stocked, no-touch hand dryer with a slim profile that is ADA-compliant when properly installed. Part of Bobrick's QuietDry™ TrimDry™ Series, the B-7128 projects no more than 4" (100mm) from the wall, dries hands in less than 25 seconds, and operates on standard 115V service through an infrared sensor — no buttons, no levers, no contact required. The cover is 22-gauge galvanized steel with an exposed Type-304 stainless steel surface and #4 satin vertical-grain finish, paired with vandal-resistant black plastic trim and recessed hex-screw fasteners.
As a Bobrick Premier Partner, Total Restroom stocks the B-7128 with our Low Price Guarantee and a 10-year parts warranty backed by Bobrick.

Key Features
ADA-Compliant When Properly Installed
The B-7128's slim cover projects no more than 4" (100mm) from the finished face of the wall, which is what allows it to meet accessible-design guidelines including ADAAG. As with any wall-mounted accessory, ADA compliance also depends on mounting height and the surrounding clear floor space — Bobrick's published mounting heights run from 36" (915mm) for ages 3-4 children's washrooms up to 48" (1219mm) for Universal Design.
Touch-Free Infrared Operation
An infrared sensor turns the dryer on when hands are placed under the air-outlet opening and shuts it off when hands are removed. The sensor picks up movement within 6" (150mm) of the outlet, so installation should account for nearby projections — Bobrick recommends at least 15" (380mm) of clearance above any horizontal surface that could falsely trigger the sensor. If an inanimate object (gum, tape) is placed across the outlet, the dryer auto-shuts after about 1-1/2 minutes and resets itself once the obstruction is removed.
Vandal-Resistant Construction
The 22-gauge cover with exposed Type-304 stainless steel surface is secured to the mounting base with two recessed, vandal-resistant hex screws, and the air inlet uses a vandal-resistant grille. Heating elements sit behind the cover where they're inaccessible to vandals, and the motor includes an automatic thermal-overload switch as a secondary safety. Well suited for high-traffic commercial restrooms.
Dual-Outlet Drying in Under 25 Seconds
Two balanced, double-inlet centrifugal fans on a single motor shaft push 71 cfm of heated air through dual outlets, creating a swirling circulation that dries hands in less than 25 seconds without hot spots. Two coiled nickel-chrome heating elements in a mica frame produce the heat, each protected by its own automatic thermal-overload switch.
10-Year Parts Warranty
Bobrick backs the B-7128 with a 10-year limited warranty on all parts from the date of purchase to the original owner of the installed unit, plus a 3-year warranty specifically on the motor brushes. The warranty covers defects in factory workmanship and material under normal use, and is limited to repair or exchange at Bobrick's option.
Which Version Is Right For You?
This is the B-7128 (115V) stainless steel version — the standard for North American 115V service. Bobrick also produces the same dryer in two related versions:
- B-7128 (230V) — same stainless steel dryer wired for 208–240V single-phase service, suited for U.S. commercial applications running on 208–240V circuits
- B-7120 — same dryer with a high-gloss white epoxy paint finish over zinc-plated mild steel (instead of stainless steel), available in either voltage
If you're specifying for a U.S. project on standard 115V service and want the higher-end stainless steel cover, the B-7128 (this SKU) is the right choice. For 208–240V projects, see the B-7128 230V version.
How Many Do You Need?
For most commercial restrooms, plan one hand dryer per two to three sinks. Mounting layout matters: the sensor picks up movement within 6" (150mm) of the air-outlet opening, and Bobrick recommends 15" (380mm) of clearance above any horizontal surface or projection so the sensor isn't falsely triggered. Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Bobrick B-7128 ADA-compliant?
The B-7128 cover projects no more than 4" (100mm) from the finished face of the wall, which is what allows it to meet accessible-design guidelines including ADAAG in the U.S.A. Final ADA compliance also depends on mounting height and clear floor space at the installed location.
What's the drying time?
Less than 25 seconds, per Bobrick's published technical data. The dual-outlet design pushes 71 cfm of heated air in a swirling circulation pattern that dries without hot spots.
What voltage and amperage does the B-7128 require?
115V AC, 15 Amp, 1725 Watts, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase. The dryer is cULus Listed. Bobrick also makes a 208–240V version of the same dryer for U.S. commercial applications running on 208–240V circuits — that's a separate SKU.
How does the touch-free sensor work?
An infrared sensor activates the dryer when hands are placed under the air-outlet opening, within 6" (150mm) of the sensor. The dryer stops when hands are removed. If an inanimate object is placed across the outlet, the dryer auto-shuts after approximately 1-1/2 minutes and resets when the object is removed.
What's the cover made of?
22-gauge galvanized steel with an exposed surface of type-304 stainless steel in a #4 satin vertical-grain finish. Black plastic trim and side panels are UL 94-5VA rated. The cover attaches to a 20-gauge plated-steel mounting base with two vandal-resistant, recessed hex screws.
What's the warranty?
Bobrick provides a 10-year limited warranty on all parts (except motor brushes) from the date of purchase to the original owner of the installed unit. Motor brushes carry a 3-year warranty. Coverage is limited to repair or exchange of defective parts at Bobrick's option.
What are the mounting dimensions and clearances?
The cover measures 13-25/32" wide × 13-19/32" tall (350mm × 345mm) and projects 4" (100mm) from the wall. Mounting holes use four 0.236" (6mm) screws into a 20-gauge plated-steel base. Allow at least 15" (380mm) of clearance above any horizontal surface so the sensor isn't falsely triggered.
Does it ship from stock?
The B-7128 typically ships from Total Restroom's distribution network. As a Bobrick Premier Partner, we have direct factory access for replenishment. Contact us for current availability.

Heating Element — Two coiled nickel-chrome heating elements are mounted in mica frame and protected by automatic thermal-overload switches. Heating elements, heat air without hot spots — inaccessible to vandals.
Electronic Control — Infrared sensor automatically turns dryer on when hands are held under air-outlet opening and across path of sensor. Remove hands from path of sensor and dryer stops. Electronic sensor has automatic shutoff approximately 1-1/2 minutes after dryer turns on if an inanimate object is placed across air-outlet opening. After inanimate object is removed, electronic sensor automatically resets itself and dryer operates normally
OPERATION:
No-touch operation: electronic sensor automatically turns dryer on when hands are held under air-outlet opening and across path of sensor. Dual air outlets provide a swirling circulation of airflow for comfortable hand drying. Drying time less than 25 seconds. Remove hands from path of sensor and dryer stops. Dryer operates only when actually drying hands, which saves energy and operating costs. Electronic sensor will automatically shut dryer off 1-1/2 minutes after dryer turns on if an inanimate object, such as tape or chewing gum, is placed across air-outlet opening. After inanimate object is removed, electronic sensor automatically resets itself and dryer operates normally
